5 QUESTIONS
1. How and why did you get into Arma?
I originally got into Arma 3 back in December 2014 when I got a Steam gift card for Christmas. I don't quite remember what hooked me but I think it was probably the large selection of mods and missions that were available on the workshop.
2. How do you play or engage with Arma 3 nowadays?
Nowadays, I like to spend most of my time in the Eden editor either experimenting or creating a small interesting mod. Sometimes if I'm feeling competitive and have the time I might sneak in a game or two of King of the Hill (KOTH).
3. Can you tell us about your most remarkable Arma 3 moment? (most funny, memorable, biggest achievement, etc)
The most remarkable Arma 3 moment for me would probably be my very first Workshop submission, “Archangel Down”. I had a lot of fun discovering, learning and experimenting in the editor, eventually ending up with a small single player mission. I don't think I got around to finishing it before release, but it still has a place in my heart.
4. What is your favorite piece of Arma 3 user-created content (mod, addon, scenario, game mode, tool) and why?
I've played with a lot of mods for Arma 3 but surprisingly the thing that's stuck with me since I played it has got to be a small mission called “Silent Abdera” by Fin Soldier.
The quality of the mission was much higher than I was expecting and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try a bit of horror in Arma 3. Just make sure to play in the dark with headphones for the real horror experience.
5. Can you share your #1 pro-tip for any Arma 3 player?
Don't try to throw a grenade through a window, 9/10 times it will hit the window and bounce back, trust me.
BONUS: Would you rather be an average person in the present or a king of a large country 2500 years ago?
Although it would be nice being a king 2500 years ago, that also means no technology, and with the amount of time I spend on my computer I think just being an average person would be the better choice for me.
CLOSING
To finish the interview, do you have anything you'd like to share with the Arma community?
I'd like to share a very big thank you to all the community content creators who are making amazing missions, mods and more for others to enjoy. Some of the best content for Arma 3 has come from the community and I cannot wait to see what some of you come up with next.
