Arma 3 hails people of every flavor from all over the world. To get to know them a little better, we're hosting a series of mini-interviews with some of our amazing community members. These aim to give you a personal insight into their backgrounds, why they got into Arma, and how they typically experience the game. In this issue of the Community Profile we interviewed community developer, Bludclot who created terrains such as the fantastic terrain known as Vidda.

BASELINE
Can you provide us with one random fact about yourself?
I wish I was an archaeologist.
What was the first Arma game you played?
Operation Flashpoint, but didn't multiplayer before Arma 2.
What is your current Arma 3 playtime?
Steam says 21869 hours, but that's not really playtime. It counts when running mod tools and I rarely close those. It was at 3000 hours when I started making terrains.
What is your favourite game of all time?
Impossible to pick one so here's 3: Fallout 2, Quake, Arma 3.
What is your favourite movie of all time?
The Abyss... No, wait, 2001: A Space Odyssey. Alien probably. Idi I Smotri? So many favorites of all time!
Do you eat pineapple on pizza?
The third level of hell is populated entirely by and reserved for people who put pineapple on pizza. But yes if I'm really hungry. Really really hungry.
Can you show us your PC setup?
5 QUESTIONS
1. How and why did you get into Arma?
Some friends talked me into it and I didn't like it. However, it quickly grew on me. Then all of a sudden I couldn't play generic first-person games anymore. Then there were the mods, and well.... here we are.
2. How do you play or engage with Arma 3 nowadays?
Most of my play goes into making and testing mods. Pretty much all of it actually. Most of the time you can find me in the Arma 3 discord, #terrain_makers channel, if and when I am working on my maps.
3. Can you tell us about your most remarkable Arma 3 moment? (most funny, memorable, biggest achievement, etc)
Putting something I spent hundreds of hours on up on the Workshop and having it showcased in Arma 3 SITREPs was up there. All the videos of Shack Tactical and all the others playing my maps. Helicopter taxi all day long without losing a single helicopter or passenger consistently on Invade and Annex over at AhoyWorld back in the day is some of the best times I've had in Arma. Made some good friends in the Arma community too over the years.
4. What is your favorite piece of Arma 3 user-created content (mod, addon, scenario, game mode, tool) and why?
I'm going to have to say RHSAFRF and RHSUSAF because they are the only mods that have been permanently activated in my game since forever. ShacktacUI is pretty vital. All the others come and go as required.
5. Can you share your #1 pro-tip for any Arma 3 player?
If you're new to the game and only used to casual modes like Wasteland or KOTH, find a group or try out some AhoyWorld co-op gameplay!
BONUS: Would you rather know the history of every object you touched or be able to talk to animals?
YES! The history one!
CLOSING
To finish the interview, do you have anything you'd like to share with the Arma community?
You can currently find my mods in my Workshop and soon in the RHS one, but I'd like to thank all my friends in the "basement" for all the help since I started out! In particular Tetet!
Also thanks to the guys at the BI office who sorted us out with the Enoch terrain objects!
Keep an eye out for #RHSKATYA soon!
