A Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) F-4 Phantom II conducts a combat air patrol (CAP) in this "appreciation post" by Sparky. The F-4 Phantom II was adopted by the JASDF in 1968, and was in active use up until March of 2021, when it was retired from service.
A MACV-SOG SPIKE Team passes by reference point "Punji Watcher" in the jungles of Laos in this excellent diorama artwork by Xenith. Locations like this were used by SOG as "steering" marks that allowed them to limit the use of a compass for navigation.
Commonwealth forces move into the Falaise pocket during the final stages of the Normandy campaign in this series of screenshots by SomeGuyWhoSGW. If you look closely at one of the men in the first screenshot, they look strikingly similar - if not the spitting image - of one Scott Miller. Maybe they are a distant relative?
The Lost Battalion milsim unit shows off their air-to-air refuelling skills in this series of beautiful screenshots featuring a series of different fighters and utility aircraft at different times of day.

S.O.G. Nickel Steel, the expansion companion mod for Arma 3 Creator CDLC S.O.G. Prairie Fire, recently received a massive update. Savage Game Design has added a new terrain, aircraft, weapons, equipment, and more to the Arma 3 sandbox with this update - making Prairie Fire the premier Vietnam War milsim experience available. The Philippines 2035 Mod Team has been sharing a lot of work in progress images and information about PH 2035's impending update. Here we have some previews for reworks of the mod's modular vests, as well as different uniforms and camo pattern improvements. The update's release date is still to be determined, but you can try out the current version of PH 2035 on the Steam Workshop here.
Rotators Collective has recently updated their Playable Content+ mod to include a version of the Arma 3 Creator DLC: Reaction Forces Air Control scenario set on Stratis. They have also prepared an Eden Editor guide for those who wish to try their hand at creating variants of Air Control for other terrains.
Zumek has updated their Zimbabwe 2035 mod, and has declared that it is now "feature complete." This mod depicts a modernized Zimbabwe military restructured by CSAT advisors over a period of years. Check out Zimbabwe 2035 on the Steam Workshop, and also grab the required Arma 3 Aegis and Atlas mods, which are required dependencies.

Arma 3 celebrated 12 years of operations this September! We would like to thank the millions of people that make up our dedicated and passionate community - we are amazed and humbled by you all! To mark the occasion, we released a new special trailer, which can be viewed here on YouTube.
Arma Tactical Combat has launched their 19th team v team campaign! This time, they are using the UMB Colombia terrain as their area of operations to simulate a fictional civil war scenario. The campaign will last for four battles, and you can learn more by visiting their website and Discord server.
French Arma milsim unit the 1er R.C.C ran an Operation Market Garden event this September, to mark the 81st anniversary of the real-world campaign that saw American and British paratroopers attempting to liberate German-occupied Netherlands. The scenario had players insert via gliders and assaulted German fortifications. You can watch a recap of the event from the viewpoint of TheKillian here on YouTube.
Ceb.Cin has issued a challenge to the Arma 3 community: beat his best time in his Course of Fire (COF) Silver: Halloween Edition scenario - which is available on the Steam Workshop. We wish you luck!

After years of playing Arma 3 and creating YouTube videos, it was time for DarkLiberator to open up the Eden Editor and create a mission of his own, and then act as Zeus Game Master for The Cooler Server members. What could go wrong? Find out by watching a video of the chaos here.
The beta version for the long-awaited Across the Fence scenario for Arma 3 Creator DLC: S.O.G. Prairie Fire is now available on the Steam Workshop! Arma content creator Chewie and other members of Void Gaming played a session of the game mode, and you can watch the action here.

On October 3rd, Arma Community Manager LeClair attended a special joint operation between 3 Commando Brigade Realism Unit and 4th Infantry Brigade Milsim Unit (which will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this November). Operation Yorkshire Rose saw LeClair playing as a AT rifleman with one of 4IB's infantry sections, and taking on the Zafar Dominion Army (ZDA) to seize and secure objectives in Al Salman.
