The Black Wasp II might be a more cutting edge aircraft - but sometimes you can't go wrong with the classics. davinze captures the speed and strength of the F-16 Fighting Falcon with this dynamic screenshot.
We have quite the throwback to the 1990s with this image by Bossukun, which depicts United States Navy SEALs in Six-Color Desert Pattern Desert Battle Dress Uniforms (DBDUs), more famously referred to as "chocolate chip camouflage."
COM-DEV
Sparky has teased development of a few things coming to the Japan 2035 mod over the past few months. One item that caught our eye was the Type 20 rifle. Chambered in 6.5x39 NATO and using MX magazines, it will become the standard issue rifle for Japan Self-Defense Force (JSDF) members in the mod. Variants that use 5.56 ammunition and have grenade launcher attachments are planned as well.
Pegasus Bridge is finally in Arma 3 with the release of the long-awaited Benouville terrain by swurvin. You can conduct some glider landings as British Airborne with assets from Spearhead Extended (SPEX), IFA3 AIO, and/or Faces of War alongside Arma 3 Creator DLC: Spearhead 1944 (which is a required dependency for the terrain).
Third-party developers Rotators Collective have recently released a Playable Content+ mod to the Steam Workshop. This experimental mod that ports the massive Air Control scenario from the Arma 3 Creator DLC: Reaction Forces to the Sefrou-Ramal terrain from Arma 3 Creator DLC: Western Sahara.
Features
- Adds: Air Control (Sefrou-Ramal) as single player and 8-player multiplayer co-op scenario
- Adds: Huron helicopter, Blackfish VTOL, and Falcon UAV with sand livery to the NATO (Desert) faction
- Adds: Rhino MGS wheeled tank destroyer to the SFIA faction
Both Reaction Forces and Western Sahara are required to be able to play the scenario.

One of the best ways to start a new year is to reflect on the previous one. Our Arma 3 Year in Review for 2024 has shown that Arma 3 and its community are showing no signs of slowing down as it enters its 12th year of operations. Over 2.2 million unique users logging over 50 million hours in-game. 2024 was yet another phenomenal year for the revolutionary military simulator sandbox.

The Antistai Event Team hosted yet another community event on January 18th. This event featured the FIA conducting a daring morning raid on an Altis Armed Forces (AAF) fuel depot deep behind enemy lines using the cover of early morning fog. If you are interested in any future events by the Antistasi Team, you can join their Discord Server to stay up to date and to sign up.
Arma Tactical Combat recently wrapped up their 17th large-scale player vs player campaign. Exercise Decisive Challenge, which simulated a large NATO joint-training exercise, ended in a draw, with both sides proving their capabilities. You can sign up for future ATC PvP campaigns by visiting their Discord Server.

Get transported 22 years back in time with this throwback operation video by Cypherius, which depicts (with suspiciously varying levels of accuracy and authenticity) combat operations during the 2003 Invasion of Iraq.
COM-STREAM
On December 7th, 2024, Arma Community Manager LeClair designed and hosted a re-creation of the Battle for Hill 400 to commemorate the real battle's 80th anniversary. Special guests played as members of Dog Company, 2nd Ranger Battalion - assaulting and securing Hill 400, and subsequently holding it against five major German counter-attacks (each numbering 100-150 men) over a simulated 48 hour period.
